A previous owner of this property was Miss Flora Beatrice Farnham. Simply put, Flora was an artist who traveled all over the world painting murals in churches. The building was her home with her own private chapel where she had painstakingly painted the Crucifixion in "Fresco". Even after the many years of deterioration, the painting was untouched. Miss Farnham passed away in 1979 only two weeks after her 103rd birthday. The building has now been restored with a new roof and stained glass windows. The interior has been restored by an artist with murals around the perimeter walls depicting the life story of "Jesus" from his birth to resurrection to the empty tomb. Casa De Paz is always open to everyone that would like to meditate or just bask in the ambiance. Blue Ridge Passage Resort has been privileged to host several weddings in "Casa De Paz".
